Heidi Montag was born in October 1986 in Crested Butte, Colarado. Her father owns a popular restaurant in the area named 'The Timberline' and her mother is a successful real estate agent. Heidi also has two siblings, an older sister named Holly and a younger brother, Sky.

 

Heidi originally moved to San Francisco and was enrolled at the Academy of the Arts. It was here that she met Lauren 'L.C.' Conrad. However, both Heidi and Lauren left the Academy after their first semester and moved to Laguna Beach. In 2005 Heidi moved to Hollywood, along with Lauren, in order to attend the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising. After attending the school for a short while Heidi obtained an interview with Bolthouse and upon being successful in this interview she dropped out of the school.

 

Heidi Montag has been part of the cast of both Laguna Beach and The Hills, although only in Laguna Beach for a short while after leaving San Francisco Heidi has been a primary cast member during both seasons of The Hills. The Hills, created by MTV, follows Lauren and Heidi on their move to Hollywood and has featured many of the dramas of their lives.

 

The Hills has documented her relationships with both Jordan Eubanks and Spencer Pratt, who is now also her manager.

 

Heidi is currently still filming the second series of The Hills as well as recording an album with David Foster which she describes as '...very fun, fresh, sexy. It will be the Pussycat Dolls-meets-Gwen Stefani, with a dose of Fergie.'
